Can you register a domain for me?
Yes! We have access to all domain extensions (TLD – top level domain). The most common extensions can be registered through the domain name registration box. If you require a less common domain extension, please contact us to discuss pricing and availability.
Please note, some domain extensions (such as .com.au for instance) have certain requirements you must meet before you are able to register them. If you are unsure whether you need to meet eligibility requirements for a specific domain name, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Yes! You are free to manage your domain name or transfer it to another host at any time.
x closeWhat is the difference between a domain and a sub domain?
A domain is a full unique website address, while a sub domain is a name placed in front of a registered domain name. For instance yourdomain.com is a domain name and something.yourdomain.com is a sub domain.
x closeHow many sub domains can I have and how do I register them?
You can have unlimited sub domains. To set them up simply contact us and we will be in touch when they are ready to go.
x closeDo you offer private domain registrations?
Yes, certain domains can be privately registered for a small additional fee. Please contact us to find out more information about this service.
x closeCan I transfer my domain names to Bluestring and how long will it take to become active?
Yes! Please be aware it can take between 24-72 hours for name server changes to take effect.
x closeHow much does it cost to register new domains?
The cost of a domain name depends on the TLD (Top Level Domain) being registered. You can check out common domain name pricing here. For a TLD which is not listed, please contact us to confirm pricing and eligibility requirements.

Yes! There are no restrictions on what domains you can host with us.
x closeWhat are UDAI’s, EPP Key’s and Auth codes?
These are the various transfer authorisation codes which allow domain names to be shifted from one registrar to another. You will need the relevant transfer code in order to shift a domain name to us. Likewise if you wish to transfer your domain name to a new registrar, you can request your transfer code from us at any time.
x closeDo I have to register a domain name for a certain time-frame?
Most domain names have a minimum registration period of one year. Some (such as .com.au for instance) have a minimum period of two years.
We are able to offer .co.nz domains on monthly billing terms if this is preferred.
x closeIs there a charge for transferring a domain to Bluestring?
.nz domain names can be transferred to us at no charge. Other domain names must be renewed for one additional year at the time of transfer. This charge will happen automatically when you request the transfer and the year purchased will be added to the renewal period of the domain name.
